Every
year, we place many dogs into loving adoptive
homes. On this page, we list just
some of those dogs or adoptive families and their stories with you. We update this page periodically to reflect our more
recent adoptions. We hope you enjoy
the page. |

| Koogler PLACED IN FOREVER HOME!!! | Hi Danielle, I wanted to let you know that we have Cody (aka Koogler) and he is the best dog ever! I can't bend over without getting my face licked. On our way home from the SPCA, we stopped at Petsmart, where he proceeded to pee on everything in sight. The manager told me it was okay - all the dogs did it. I was a little afraid of what would happen in our house. We led him around with the leash on, and he was a great boy. The only thing he peed on was the cat's scratching post - twice! He pulled a lot on the leash initially, but he's gotten much better. We trust him to have freedom in the house (he didn't like the crate too much). He is completely house trained. My daughters love him to pieces as does my husband. The only thing that has made him bark (other than the crate) is the garbage truck - he doesn't like it. Our cat doesn't seem to care for him, but he's not hissing as much and I think the cat is starting to realize that Cody is a gentle giant. Anyway, I'll be looking for his success story the next time you update your website. Thanks for everything! Sincerely, Nina | ||||

Morgan
We are happy to see Morgan with his new family! He was placed on November 23, 2003.
Dakota Was placed into a forever home on November 22, 2003 On December 16, 2003 after a very long year of increasing medical complications and after losing his companion, Grace, Will crossed the "Rainbow Bridge". Why is this information listed under "success stories"? Read on... Arleen, a MASR volunteer, was his foster mom who took care of him and Grace since they came into the rescue last year. In that year, these two dogs, along with their foster mom have captured the hearts of a lot of people. Arleen has asked that we "Please convey to everyone that it was the love and strength that surrounded us by all the people in rescue that helped us through the last year's journey. I know they felt all the caring by so many people. It was the hope and strength that everyone had also given to me that helped me to care for them. The most amazing thing about Will and Grace was that in spite of all the neglect, they still loved people. Their capacity for forgiveness was the most incredible and amazing thing I had ever seen. May God embrace them both for eternity. My life became better for having Will and Grace in it..." Fostering (as opposed to fully adopting) a sammy has been a truly rewarding experience for Arleen and many others. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent please contact us. |
