7/28/13: A message from Denver Samoyed Rescue.

Holly was put to rest last night. She had 9 months filled with daily walks, hiking, playtime with her Boston Terrier “brother”, and her kitty, and most of all a ton of love from her foster/adoption mom Bonnie.

Holly as you might recall came to us with high ALT liver value and we later discovered she had a large mass/tumor on too of her liver, in an area that would have been very risky to remove. The fact she lived this long, with a good quality of life is a testament to her desire to enjoy the new life she had, but ultimately her little body wore out and it was her time.

We are very grateful to Bonnie for going over and beyond, and being so observant of Holly’s condition to know when to take her to the vet. We are grateful that we had the coffers to help this girl. I think both are why God selected her to come to us.

We are heartbroken for Bonnie as this was her third foster dog, but she felt extremely connected to Holly.

Thanks, Danielle, for doing all that you did for these dogs. Here is a picture taken in happier times.
